I faced this problem lately and was able to troubleshoot it momentarily
just follow these simple steps
-Open Windows Media Player
- Click on Tools and Options.
- Go to plug-ins tab.
- Under categories select Background and under Background check the option “Google Talk music plug-in”
- Click on Apply and Ok.
